One drawback of Wacom tablet pens is that the rubber grip deteriorates over time, becoming slick and sticky with age. Replacing the worn rubber grip with a wooden one keeps the surface from slipping even when your hands sweat, maintaining a firm, confident feel during long work sessions. The wood grain gives the grip a visually substantial presence, yet it is actually about 40% lighter than the rubber grip — reducing strain on your fingers and hand.
Wood species: Philippine Mahogany (Lauan / Shorea spp.) A general term for brown-toned hardwoods from Southeast Asia. In Japan, these woods are imported in bulk under the umbrella name "lauan" and sold at relatively low prices — but careful sorting occasionally reveals rarer species mixed in among them. Primarily of the Dipterocarpaceae family, we hand-select pieces with especially deep color and fine, dense grain. This product has been finished with an oil stain coloring. The barrel shape can be customized beyond the standard profile to include wide-diameter, triangular, and hexagonal options, so you can choose the one that best suits your grip style.
