One drawback of Wacom tablet pens is that the rubber grip deteriorates over time, becoming slick and sticky with age. Replacing the worn rubber grip with a wooden one keeps the surface from slipping even when your hands sweat, maintaining a firm, confident feel during long work sessions. The wood grain gives the grip a visually substantial presence, yet it is actually about 40% lighter than the rubber grip — reducing strain on your fingers and hand.
Wood species: White Oak (Quercus alba) Closely related to the Japanese Mizunara oak. Exceptionally hard and water-resistant, it has been used throughout history in furniture, wine barrels, doors, and ship-building. Over time, the surface takes on a warm amber color, growing richer and more substantial with age. Because an oak grip transmits applied force directly to the nib without loss, it delivers a crisp, precise feel reminiscent of a metal ballpoint pen — despite its natural wooden appearance. The barrel shape can be customized beyond the standard profile to include wide-diameter, triangular, and hexagonal options, so you can choose the one that best suits your grip style.
- As natural wood is used, grain patterns and color depth will vary between individual items.
- Small holes, dents, cracks, or dark spots inherent to the material may be present.
- The ramin wood used in this product was imported before CITES trade regulations took effect and has been upcycled from long-stored stock.
