One drawback of Wacom tablet pens is that the rubber grip deteriorates over time, becoming slick and sticky with age. Replacing the worn rubber grip with a wooden one keeps the surface from slipping even when your hands sweat, maintaining a firm, confident feel during long work sessions. The wood grain gives the grip a visually substantial presence, yet it is actually about 40% lighter than the rubber grip — reducing strain on your fingers and hand.
Wood species: Black Walnut (Juglans nigra) A relative of the Japanese walnut (Oni-gurumi), native to eastern North America. Prized for its distinctive luster and beautifully flowing grain, it is a favored material for fine furniture. Unusually among dark-toned hardwoods, it is relatively soft and light, giving it a gentle feel against the skin and making it a grip you can hold for long periods without fatigue.
