It develops a beautiful luster when carefully polished, and its color deepens with years of use, growing richer and more dignified over time. These are among the reasons zelkova has been cherished since the Edo period. This wood transmits applied force directly to the nib without loss. For those who use a protective sheet on their tablet surface, the grip picks up the additional friction resistance especially well — producing a grip with a firm, precise, and satisfying feel.
